I wanted Alexander to have a fancier bed than the old towel that came home with him from the Humane Society (even though he loves it), so I set out to utilize the old sewing box Grandma and Grandad gave me when I was ten. This weekend there was a huge sale at the fabric store, so I got this sweet flowery pattern that's totally adorable (and masculine) for a boy kitty.
After a few hours of hand sewing this is what I came up with... I haven't figured out how to work the sewing machine yet, otherwise it probably would have taken five minutes... But oh well. He doesn't really like it yet. While I was taking this picture he was just running away.
