The bran muffins, I actually ate. Muffins like this are for guests, or friends. This is a super simple recipe I found on about.com. I had a couple cans of Washington cherries in my cabinet from longer ago than I can remember, so I thought I'd turn them into these breakfast treats. Turned out looking pretty good.

This morning I had a craving for bran muffins. I've never made bran muffins before, and I've probably only eaten a bran muffin once or twice in my life. However, I happen to have lots of oat bran, wheat bran, wheat germ, and multigran whatnot laying around right now from failed bread baking attmempts. The Bob's Red Mill bag of wheat bran had a recipe for muffins on it. Of the 12 ingredients, I had 5. They were the important ones though, so for the ones I didn't have, I just added more wet stuff, or more dry stuff. It seemed to have worked out just fine, and now I have delicious muffins that I will probably not be able to replicate ever again.
